In accordance with Proclamation No. 115-A, the month of May was declared as the Road Safety Month here in the country. With this, the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange partnered with LTO, NLEX, and CAVITEX for free Theoretical Driving Course and vehicle roadworthiness for students and Traffic & Parking Management Office of the Parañaque Local Government Unit.
45 passengers were able to receive free Theoretical Driving Course facilitated by the Land Transportation Office and Metro Pacific Tollways-North Luzon Expressway group on May 10 and 11 at PITX Tower 2, 4th Floor.
With the supervision of LTO Parañaque Licensing Center Chief Ella D. Bautista, the seminar centered on the laws mandated for driving and basic road signs implemented in the country. She said, “this free TDC aimed to educate more aspiring drivers on the rules and regulations implemented by the agency.”
Meanwhile, MPT CAVITEX group made sure to equip 65 participants from Parañaque LGU’s TPMO employees and PUV drivers in inspecting vehicles through their BLOW BAGETS campaign (battery, lights, oil, water, brake, air, gas, engine, tire, and self).
Jason Salvador, Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Head at PITX, said, “these free seminars have a big impact in providing our passengers, friends from the LGU, and PUV drivers with better education in defensive driving and roadworthiness of their cars. With the prevalence of road accidents worldwide and the country, hopefully this will lessen the incidents in the future.”
Mr. Salvador added, “we are grateful to LTO, specially LTO-PITX, Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (NLEX at CAVITEX) for giving this opportunity to our passengers, TPMO, PUV drivers.”
